These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the SmartEdu Companion platform. Please read them carefully before using our services. By using the platform, you agree to comply with these terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
Acceptance of Terms
- By accessing or using SmartEdu Companion, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
- If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not access the platform.
- These terms apply to all users: students, teachers, parents, school owners, and administrators.
User Accounts
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any activity under your account.
- Notify your school administrator immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- One person may only use one account. Shared or duplicate accounts are prohibited.
Acceptable Use
- Use the platform only for lawful educational purposes.
- Do not upload harmful, offensive, or copyrighted content without permission.
- Do not attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the platform's security or performance.
- Do not impersonate other users or provide false information.
- Bullying, harassment, or any form of abuse through the platform is strictly forbidden.
Content & Intellectual Property
- All platform content (lessons, quizzes, materials) is owned by SmartEdu Companion or licensed to us.
- You may not copy, distribute, or sell platform content without written permission.
- User-generated content (assignments, notes) remains the property of the user or their school.
- We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.
Limitation of Liability
- SmartEdu Companion is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from platform use.
- While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all educational content is error-free.
- Your school is responsible for ensuring compliance with local education regulations.
Modifications to Service
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the platform at any time.
- We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
- Major changes will be communicated to school administrators in advance.
Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms.
- Schools may request account deactivation for students who have left the institution.
- Upon termination, your access to the platform and associated data will cease.
